Privacy Policy

Account data. When you register with email, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google; we never receive your Google password.

Content you provide. Business listings, descriptions, contact details, working hours, reviews, ratings, and photographs that you submit. Remember that listings, reviews, and photos are public.

Photos and metadata. Photographs are re-encoded on our servers before they are published. This process strips embedded metadata — including EXIF GPS coordinates that phone cameras add — so the location data inside your photo files is not published. Please still avoid uploading images that reveal information you do not want to be public.

Location data. The map coordinates you enter for a business are stored and shown publicly. If you use “search near me”, your browser asks your permission to share your approximate location; it is used only to order results and is not stored.

Technical data. Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information may be processed to operate and secure the Service.

We use your data to: create and authenticate your account; publish and moderate the listings and reviews you submit; operate, maintain, and improve the Service; keep it secure and prevent abuse; and communicate with you about your account or submissions.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), on the basis of your consent (for example browser geolocation), and for our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and improving it). You may withdraw consent at any time.

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in (a sign-in token). This is essential to how the Service works. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that make the Service work: Google (for optional sign-in), and Cloudflare (which hosts uploaded images and map tiles), together with our hosting and database providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Business listings, reviews, ratings, uploaded photos, and the display name shown alongside your reviews are public. They can be viewed by anyone and indexed by search engines. Do not submit anything you would not want to be publicly visible.

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Public content may remain visible until you or we remove it. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to keep it by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@poriad.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including hashing passwords and serving the Service over encrypted connections. No online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
