Terms of Service

Poriad helps people discover Ukrainian diaspora businesses on an interactive map and on public listing pages. Business owners and community members may submit and manage listings, and registered users may leave reviews and photos.

We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that any listing, review, or piece of information on the Service is accurate, complete, or up to date.

You may sign in with Google or with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully.

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not: submit false, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content; impersonate another person or business; upload malware; scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data except as expressly permitted; interfere with or overload the Service; or use it to infringe anyone’s rights.

Listings submitted by owners or the community are reviewed before they are published. We may edit, reject, unpublish, or remove any listing at our discretion, for example if it is inaccurate, duplicated, or violates these Terms. Approval of a listing is not an endorsement, verification, or guarantee of the business.

If you submit a business, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the information you provide is accurate.

“User Content” means anything you submit to the Service, including business listings, descriptions, photographs, and reviews. You keep ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant Poriad a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and re-encode, adapt for display, publish, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. This licence continues for content that remains visible to others (for example a review) even after you stop using the Service, until it is removed.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of submitting it.

You represent and warrant that, for every photograph, review, and other item you upload, you either own it or have obtained all rights, licences, and permissions needed to submit it and to grant the licence above, and that your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other right of any third party.

Poriad does not create User Content and does not systematically pre-screen it. We do not claim ownership of it, and we are not responsible or liable for User Content submitted by users, including for any copyright or other intellectual-property infringement arising from images or reviews that users upload. Responsibility for such content, and for clearing the rights in it, rests solely with the user who submitted it.

If content on the Service infringes your rights, or otherwise breaks these Terms, tell us using the takedown process below and we will act on it.

If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@poriad.com with: (a) a link to or description of the content; (b) a description of the right you hold and how it is infringed; (c) your contact details; and (d) a statement that your complaint is made in good faith.

We will review valid reports and remove or disable access to content that we determine to be infringing or otherwise in breach of these Terms. We may terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

The Service itself — including its name, logo, design, software, and the compilation of listings — belongs to Poriad or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not give you any right to use our branding without our written permission.

The Service relies on third parties (for example Google for sign-in, and Cloudflare for image and map-tile hosting) and may link to external websites. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

The Service and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that listings and reviews are accurate or reliable. You use the information on the Service, and deal with any business you find through it, at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Poriad will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or to User Content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Poriad harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms — including any claim that your uploaded photos or reviews infringe a third party’s rights.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
